Retail Systems Analyst
Summary
The Retail Systems Analyst will work with the Arctic Co-ops External IT team to support Arctic Co-op’s retail systems, including ordering, Point of Sale (POS), and front-end eCommerce platforms for our member co-ops and subsidiary operations as a Tier 2 support between the front-line Technical Specialists and Arctic Co-op’s support vendors. In addition to day-to-day support, the Retail Systems Analyst will work with various stakeholders from Home Office, the Co-ops and vendors to determine hardware, database and software requirements that meet current and future business needs of Arctic Co-op’s integrated environment. This position will also cross train the Technical Specialist team on front line support of the organization’s ordering and POS systems.
Qualifications
• Analytical mindset and ability to approach challenges creatively • Post-secondary education in computer science or equivalent • 3-5 years experience with systems integration in an analyst role, preferably in a retail environment • Proven background on POS and ordering systems • Strong knowledge of computer systems, databases, networking and troubleshooting • Proven experience with training and development of staff • Ability to work independently, as well as a member of a team • Strong organizational and administrative skills • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written • Experience in system design in an integrated environment • Must be able to work flex shifts • Project management experience is considered to be an asset • Experience with data migration and mapping tools and techniques (such as EDI) is considered to be an asset • Proven commitment to personal growth and development. Professional development courses towards a CBAP certification considered an asset • Previous experience working in a cross-cultural environment is considered to be an asset • Experience with the Counterpoint NCR system is considered to be an asset • Working knowledge of Microsoft productivity software (Microsoft Office) • Ability to travel as required
