Clerk - Temp


This position is responsible for providing superior clerical support to Business Development Department in a professional and effective manner. As a member of the Business Development Department, this position will be key in providing support to the Manager of Business Development and Administrative Assistant to achieve annual budgeted figures such as sales, margin and net savings.


• Work in a team environment to provide clerical support to Business Development
• Assist with the tender process from start to finish - identify opportunities from different tender sites, obtain quotes, prepare tenders for submission, issue paper works to supplier on tenders awarded, ensure goods on time delivery, help bill customers on time
• Provide tender notification to Co-ops on tenders won on their behalf
• Keep track of all paperwork related to tenders being submitted
• Ensure PO master file is updated daily or as required
• Help the department and Corporate Accounting with month end reconciliations
• Work with Payroll and Corporate Accounting to help maintain and track Staff Purchase Program
• Review accounts pertaining to Business Development with Treasury and provide support when needed
• Develop and maintain a strong and positive relationship with suppliers, tendering departments, and key accounts that the department works with daily and rely on for its success
• Provide good customer service to all Co-ops and maintain open communication with all stakeholders
• Other duties as assigned
