Business Operations Specialist (Cable, Post Office, FNBC)

Summary

Reporting to the Manager, Business Support Services, this position is responsible for providing support and direction to assigned aspects of non-retail business activities of Member Co-operatives and subsidiary operations. This position also has an active role in the development and implementation of new businesses that contribute to the Co-op’s growth and prosperity. Working collaboratively, with the team of Contract Support Officers, District Support Advisors, and other subject matter experts within the organization the Contract Support Officer will provide ongoing training and business support to Co-op Management and staff in the marketing, operations, systems, compliance, and administration of the business units with the purpose of providing a high level of service to the Co-op Members and the communities at large. While the primary focus of the position is supporting the Cable Television, Post Office, and First Nations Bank Kiosk agreements and operations, the incumbent will also provide support and assistance to the Co-operatives in other areas of their non-retail operations as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven background in one or more of these areas: administration, marketing, customer/business
Support or business management. • Post-secondary education would be an asset.
• Superior knowledge of office productivity software (MS Office) for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, and related packages.
• Excellent ability to organize and prioritize work tasks to meet scheduled timelines; willingness to take initiative to meet objectives.
• Strong project management skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal business communication skills, coupled with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent interpersonal skills. Success in training others would be an asset.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to work demands.
• Experience in the delivery of customer support services is a definite asset.
• A strong work ethic and commitment to customer satisfaction and team goals.
• Ability to travel to the Arctic as projects and business require. (up to 60 days per year)
